Biographie: Solomon

Biography of Solomon

I’m writing a biography about Solomon Owusu Boakye. His Fanti name is Nana-Yaw. He is doing his secondary education at Moree Senior High Technical School in Moree near Cape Coast.
Solomon was born in Moree, which is in the Central Region, on 22nd September 1994. He has five siblings, namely two sisters called Vivian Asare and Doras Asare and three brothers who are named Joseph Ampofo Boakye, Samuel Oppong Boakye and Hagar Boakye. His father’s name is Mr. Seth Oppong Boakye. He is an electrician and his mother is called Mrs. Elizabeth Bhule and she works as a hairdresser.
Solomon is a Christian, like his whole family. They all go together to church at Pentecost every Sunday.

Solomon has many friends but his best friends are Ama and Efua even if they’re not in the same class. They have a lot of fun together. His friends like him because he makes them feel happy and comfortable. Solomon likes playing football with his friends but also watching the games on the television.
After school he likes reading books but at first he always does his homework. The food he likes the most is banku with okro stew. He likes it because it gives him energy to do his work. His favorite drink is malt. He likes to drink it after school to relax or while he is making a break during doing his homework. His favorite colors are red, white, green and yellow. He likes them because of the symbolic meaning:
Red stands for the blood their forefathers shed, white stands for their victory they had over the British in the war, green are the trees which give us oxygen which we breathe and yellow stands for the gold they have in their country Ghana.
Solomon’s favorite movie is called “Merlin”. His role model is Michael Jackson who was a musician and also an entertainer because he likes the way he moved to the rhythm and his attitude to the world.
He speaks Fanti because it is important to his family and also to himself to be able to speak the language of his country and region. It is a part of their history and culture.
On the weekend he washes his school uniform and cleans his shoes. Later he goes out to play football with his friends and comes home to eat because eating with the family is very important to him. In the evening he watches TV and reads books about his favorite subjects which are Government, English and History.
In the future Solomon wants to be a teacher because he wants to inspire the students and make it possible for them to have a good education. Right now Solomon is single but in the future he wants to marry the right woman and have two children.
